About the event
Bread & Puppet Theater brings The Upside Down World Circus to Northeast Ohio for an evening of giant puppets, stilt dancers, paper-mâché beasts, music, spectacle, protest and celebration.
For more than 60 years, Vermont's Bread & Puppet Theater has created a distinctive form of politically engaged, visually spectacular theater using enormous puppets, masks, pageantry, music and handmade art. The Upside Down World Circus continues that tradition with a riotous brass band and an ensemble of creatures and characters confronting a world that seems increasingly turned upside down.
Following the performance, Bread & Puppet will share its famous sourdough rye bread with aioli with the audience.
The company's Cheap Art — books, posters, postcards, pamphlets and banners from the Bread & Puppet Press — will also be available after the show.
